   Under absolutely no circumstances, does the telephone company have our permission to drill holes into exterior or interior walls, or to install inside wiring. Please notify us if the telephone service representative indicates a need to drill holes. If you need additional inside wiring, it will be completed by Gemini Properties.

   There are so many choices in Chicago, we couldn't begin to recommend one. We suggest you weigh your options carefully and choose a plan that fits your calling patterns.

   Each apartment has its separate meter for measuring usage. The common area lights are on a separate meter and paid for by Gemini Properties. The breaker boxes are located in the basement.

   Separate meters are in the basement for measuring usage at 858 Newport. Gemini Properties pays the gas for the boiler and dryer at 864 Newport and for the dryer at 858 Newport.

6. WATER, SEWER & Garbage

   These services are provided by the City of Chicago and paid for by Gemini Properties.

7. PARKING
   Residential street parking is by permit only from 6pm to 6am every day. To acquire an annual zone sticker, you need an annual city sticker. City stickers and zone 383 stickers may be obtained at the City Clerk's office at 121 N. LaSalle St. Proof of residency (lease, utility bill mailed to your new address) and vehicle registration are required. The vehicle is not required to have Illinois plates.

   A second option is to purchase the city sticker at a local currency exchange. After obtaining the city sticker, you may go to the local Alderman's office (44th Ward) at 1057 W. Belmont (with proof that you have purchased the city sticker) to obtain an application for the 383 zone sticker. This application is mailed in with the fee and your sticker is mailed to you.

   Street sweeping occurs at least once per month on Newport. Orange signs are posted on the parkway the day prior to the sweeping. One side of the street will be swept the first day and on the next day the opposite side will be swept. If your car is on the street after 9am, you will be ticketed.
